Every March 20th, Visible Fictions joins the global celebration of World Day of Theatre for Children and Young People, organised by ASSITEJ International. The day encourages us all to “take a child to the theatre today” and reminds us of the power of theatre to spark imagination, empathy, and creativity in young minds. We’re proud to be part of that movement, sharing the magic of theatre with young people everywhere.
At Visible Fictions, we’re all about creating unforgettable stories for young audiences. Since 1991, we’ve been blending live theatre, immersive experiences, film, animation, and creative learning to inspire, entertain, and spark creativity in kids, young people, and their big ones.
We craft storytelling experiences that captivate, inspire, and encourage reflection. Whether through a live show or a learning activity, we want to create moments of wonder and discovery for kids, young people, and the adults who accompany them. We believe storytelling is a basic human need, and we strive to make our work accessible, engaging, and meaningful for everyone involved.
Theatre gives young people the opportunity to connect with stories that shape their understanding of the world. We believe it sparks imagination, encourages critical thinking, and fosters empathy.
“Theatre and performing arts have a unique ability to captivate and engage young audiences, allowing them to explore different perspectives, emotions, and ideas.”
– ASSITEJ International
Our work doesn’t just happen on a stage. We take our stories to parks, boats, libraries, schools, and beyond. No two Visible Fictions shows are the same, but all are designed to be memorable, thought-provoking, and inspiring. We love mixing things up and turning stories on their head, ensuring every experience is one-of-a-kind.
We’re always on the lookout for new ways to bring theatre to life. Whether you’re a young person, a teacher, or an adult sharing the experience, we hope our shows will inspire you to think, create, and connect. On this special day, let’s celebrate the magic of theatre; we are Visible Fictions—and we love telling stories!
