Growing up is one big adventure but not everyone can come along for the ride.

Connie and Harold have been best pals for 11years - they're inseparable (in secret in Connie's bedroom). Harold, you see, is her cuddly toy and soon Connie will be going to high school and he won’t be allowed to come along. Deep down, Connie knows that they can’t be pals forever and that she needs to just grow up. In fact, everyone around her wants her to give up Harold – her pals and her less than friendly class mates too.

Even her parents have suggested she might be a bit old for Harold now. But growing up is scary and when Mum announces that she's pregnant and that Connie will need to take on more adult responsibilities around the house, things are just too much for her.

Connie doesn’t want to grow up – she just wants to be with Harold. So, she hatches a plan to run away. Just the two of them, to be left alone, to be always young and hassle-free. But when they find themselves lost in the woods, Connie soon realises that there are more threatening things to contend with than just growing up, and Harold too has a big surprise, a magical surprise, that turns Connie’s world around for the better. Forever.

responsibilities
while also developing key skills like communication, confidence, creative thinking, listening and team work.
