Carl Hutton, CEO for The Leeds Library said about the production;
‘The Hidden was a wonderful event for The Leeds Library and the audiences that took part. Delivered by a company who clearly love everything Libraries stand for. The Hidden is a brilliantly conceived idea and made everyone who was involved, look at the library through new eyes. I would recommend The Hidden to any library wanting to engage people with their collections and buildings in new and exciting ways. It was one of the highlights for our 250th Anniversary programme and we would love to host The Hidden again in the future.’
Elaine Finlay, Libraries Development Coordinator for Renfrewshire said;
‘The Hidden provided a very positive experience for us. We were particularly delighted by the amount of young people this project attracted and by the very positive feedback from them. We would love to be involved in a similar project in the future. One of our staff members – Ellie – was fortunate enough to be able to take part in a session and got back to me the same afternoon to say :
“Just experienced ‘The Hidden’. It was fantastic. It was wonderful seeing and experiencing the library being used like this”
Moyra Lumsden BA (Hons), Librarian, Ross High School / Knox Academy said of her experience;
‘Thank you so much for the opportunity to participate in ‘The Hidden’. The kids all really enjoyed it and were buzzing all the way home, both days. And both teachers were really enthusiastic about it also. It is seemingly one of the best trips we have done! Praise indeed!! Everyone is really looking forward to the workshops.
Thank you very much again.’

Someone has gone missing but have they left messages behind? Hidden in books, written on index cards, scribbled on the back of an old photograph; there is a mystery waiting to be solved.
Played out in an atmospheric library setting, your task is to piece the story together using all the clues you can find, but don’t get caught, you never know who’s watching!
Work as a team to rewrite the history books, just be careful which path you chose to go down . . .
The Hidden is a dramatic interactive experience for small groups of teenagers and adults. The participants will work as a team to make sense of clues and come up with their own theory to solve the mystery.
The Hidden was first presented in Paisley Central Library in November 2017, read The Herald’s review here.
